Walk up to the Walhalla Cricket Ground from town to experience one of the world’s most unique sporting facilities. Due to the lack of flat land in Walhalla, the townspeople carved out a clearing to accommodate a cricket ground on top of a mountain in the late 1800s.

Prepare to have your senses tingling as you walk with Walhalla’s knowledgeable Ghost Tour Guides. Learn about the tragedies of the town and the folks who still visit Walhalla long after they departed this Earthly plane.

The Walhalla Goldfields Railway offers a scenic and unique journey down Stringer’s Creek Gorge to Thomson’s Bridge.

Tour the Long Tunnel Extended Goldmine and explore the depths of the mountain.

Come and see old artifacts of the Old Post and Telegraph Office in Walhalla, the last standing original government building in the town.

Many fascinating items used for communications from the late 1800s are available for viewing, as well as old town records and newspapers.
